Several years ago I was in Mexico visiting friends and was given an herbal tea to calm my upset stomach. While there I never experienced the "usual" digestive trauma. I believe it to be something similar to "manzinilla" (spelling probably not correct). Are you familiar with such a remedy?The correct spelling is "manzanilla". It is chamomile. At least one reference indicates that it refers to the roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile), but we believe that the german variety, Matricaria recutita, is variety most often sold as "manzanilla".
