Catnip Tea for Infant Colic?

I would like to know if catnip tea will help my son, who is only 7 weeks old, with his colic? How much should I give to him in a 4 oz. bottle? Does it have any side affects? And for how long will he have to take this catnip tea? He does have digestive problems. Will it create a problem?

Catnip tea is good for digestion as well as being relaxing and bringing down children?s fevers. Catnip helps to expel wind and calm muscle spasm to relieve infant colic.
To make a catnip tea for a very small baby, add one half cup of boiling water to a half teaspoon of dried catnip herb (or one half tablespoon of fresh herb). Allow the herb to steep for 15 minutes in a covered, ceramic cup or teapot. Add one teaspoon of this mixture to a bottle with a bit of pure water, three times a day. Do not add any sweetener. Keep the unused portion of tea refrigerated in a covered glass jar for no longer than one day.
