Every 4 or 5 days I get a burning sensation in my intestine, followed by pain and diarrhea. I did not have this problem before, but did have it a couple times before I had my gallbladder removed in 1999. I need some ideas of herbs to try. I am currently taking milk thistle, and Lopermide and Loratab for pain. Help please.Irritable Bowel Syndrome can be caused by stress, anxiety, food allergies (especially dairy products) or parasites. Diarrhea, alternating with constipation, bowel spasms and flatulence are the usual symptoms. It would be most effective for you to work with a qualified herbalist who can assess all of your symptoms and look for underlying causes. The underlying cause must be removed in order to realize an improvement in health. If stress and anxiety are factors, then you may need help to find herbs and lifestyle changes to improve the health of your nervous system. If parasites are involved, you will need to eliminate them. Digestion is more difficult without a gall bladder, and this may be contributing to your problem. Please see our web site, as listed below, for the item "Help for Digestion after Gall Bladder Removal".
I have been to number of doctors. They say Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but my diet does not change anything.
