My daughter is 21 yrs old, and had twins, Since her pregnancy, her ezcema on her hands is getting worse each year. I would like to know what kind of herbs can help her problems out. Right now she is trying the salt and iodine I think.
Check first that your daughter has explored possible external allergens such as soap, detergent and rubber gloves, and looked into non allergenic substitutes. Food allergies and digestive problems are common underlying causes of eczema, and must be cared for before treatment with herbs can be successful. Another common factor is a deficiency of essential fatty acids. Internally, Evening Primrose Oil capsules and freshly ground flax seeds, one to three tablespoons daily, may be effective treatment. Externally, olive oil mixed with aloe vera gel is soothing and healing.
