I was watching a show awhile back and this girl was a herbalist. One of her friends turned up pregnant. The herbalist told her to eat as much parsley as she could, and stick it up inside herself. I found this hard to believe, but I would like to hear it from expert, being a budding herbalist myself.Parsley is contraindicated in pregnancy. Parsley is an emmenagogue, meaning it works to stimulate hormones to promote the menstrual blood flow, encouraging miscarriage. It should be avoided during the first 3 months, then very small amounts are allowed in the diet during the last 6 months of pregnancy.
