My mother-in-law is very into herbs. She has high blood pressure and bowel problems. She is wondering about "garlic onions" which she has come across and has no in depth info regarding uses, etc.. Could you provide some feedback? We are not sure exactly what the term "garlic onions" refers to. There is no variety of onions known by this exact name. There are a few members of the Allium genus to which both onions and garlics belong that we can see how they might become to be known by that name. For example, the fresh leaves of the garlic plant might be known by some people as "garlic onions", or the herb garlic chives (Allium tuberosum) might be known by that name, or even some of the wild garlic or ramsons such as Allium ursinum might have that name in some areas.
