Herbs that help to improve the appetite, digestion and nerves are used alongside supportive counselling in recovery from anorexia and bulimia. Try a tea made with a mixture of German chamomile, skullcap and peppermint, three times a day. Dandelion "coffee", found in most health food stores, is helpful for improving appetite and digestion. Bananas are useful in restoring potassium. Pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds are useful in replacing zinc.
