I could use information on how to find an herbalist in my area.
Listed below are some useful country-specific links. If you don't find a practitioner near you, check the notice boards at local health food stores or other similar locations.
United States:
The American Herbalists Guild (AHG) represents well qualified herbalists in the United States. Please see their web site at www.americanherbalistsguild.com for contact information.
You can also contact the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians referral line at: (206)323-7610. Or check out the searchable database on the AANP's home page at: www.naturopathic.org.
The American Holistic Medical Association has a database of practitioners searchable by state and by specialty at: www.holisticmedicine.org.
The American Association of Oriental Medicine is there, too on the web: www.aaom.org.
Canada:
Ontario Herbalists Association: www.herbalists.on.ca
Canadian Naturopathic Association: www.naturopathicassoc.ca
United Kingdom:
National Institute of Herbal Medicine: www.nimh.org.uk
Australia:
National Herbalists Association of Australia: www.nhaa.org.au
New Zealand:
New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists: nzamh.org.nz
