I have a question regarding the herb bethroot I just received in dried and sifted form. I was wondering if I can drink that in hot water as a tea. Also I am on medication for endometriosis Will bethroot cause any side effects or lessen the prescription (Synarel) used to treat endometriosis?Bethroot (Trillium erectum) is an astringent used for excessive bleeding from the womb and as a uterine tonic. It contains precursors of female sex hormones. It is not to be used in pregnancy. As a tea, it can be prepared by simmering 0.5 to 2.0 grams of the dried root in a cup of water for ten minutes. Half to one cup may be taken three times a day.
