I have heard that St. John Wort is a good herb for women going through menopause. Also I have been told that it is not good to take this herb during the summer months if you are out in the sunlight frequently. I would rather take an herb than prescription drugs. Do you have any suggestions?St. John's Wort is sometimes used to reduce tension and ease depression in menopause. The photosensitivity reaction to sunlight occurs very infrequently in humans - the reaction is notable in cattle. Studies show that one in two hundred people may react with a skin rash. Care should be taken especially if you have very sensitive skin.
