Kava Kava and Blood Pressure

I would like to know if this herb help with high blood pressure?

Vincent Lebot et al. in their authoritative book, "Kava: The Pacific Elixir" (available from Richters), do not mention any effect on blood pressure.
If kava has any effect on blood pressure, it may be an indirect one related to kava's ability to combat the effects of stress.
