I have the following herbs: Comfrey leaf (cut and sifted), Milk thistle seed (whole); Siberian Ginseng root (cut); Goldenseal root (500 mg. capsules); Echinacea Purpurea root (400 mg. capsules). What medicinal uses do they have and how do I make a tea out of them?
I bought them about a year ago from Home-Health Resource, but I lost the instructions the man gave me.
Comfrey promotes healing of skin, bones, wounds, ulcers; milk thistle is for the liver; siberian ginseng is a general tonic and anti-stress herb; goldenseal has antibiotic properties; and echinacea stimulates the immune system and thus increase the body's resistance to disease.
These are somewhat simplistic descriptions of the healing properties of these herbs. For more detailed information, there are a number of excellent books on the medicinal uses of these herbs. The Richters catalogue has a good selection.
