Staphylococcus Infections

Are there herbs which can cure staph infections, when one is allergic to antibiotics?

A typescript list we have in our files dating from the 1980s lists the following herbs as having shown some activity against Staphylococcus. It is important to note that some of these herbs may only work in vitro in laboratory conditions, and may not work when given as medicine in the body. These herbs are in no particular order.
* Licorice: alcoholic extract of root; hispaglabrin A & B components of root.
* Caraway: essential oil.
* Sage: "salvin", a mixture of carnazolic acid and methyl carnazolate.
* Red Clover: coumarin components.
* Uva Ursi: arbutin component.
* Curled Dock: root.
* Eucalyptus: aqueous extract.
* Comfrey: methanolic leaf extract.
* Boneset: tops and leaves.
* Burdock: root powder or tincture.
* Roman Chamomile.
In addition, there are many other herbs which are known to work against a broad spectrum of bacteria, which may include Staphylococcus.
