Are you aware of any adverse side effects when the narcotic pain killer Percodan is used inconjuction with St. John's Wort? This herb has MAO inhibitor qualities which may be contraindicated. Can you confirm ?
St. Johnswort is a weak MAO inhibitor, so it is unlikely that there will be a problem, but you should check with your health care provider.
According to Christopher Hobbs in his book on St. Johnswort (available from Richters), caution must be exercised when any MAO inhibitor is used with St Johnswort – not because there are known problems, only that there is a theoretical problem.
