I was wondering which herb would you recommend to lower blood preassure.Daniel Mowrey, in his book "Proven Herbal Blends," recommends garlic and valerian to control high blood pressure. He says that garlic causes a rapid and prolonged reduction in blood pressure in animal and human trials. Garlic also helps to lower serum triglycerides, lipoproteins, phospholipids and plasma fibrinogen levels which may be important in the control of atherosclerosis. Valerian is a good general sedative with hypotensive properties. It seems to suppress and regulate the autonomic nervous system, and provide general relief from tension as well.
